From 22nd October through to 10th November, 1914, the 1st Rifle Brigade battalion of 11, Brigade, 4th Division were holding the line at Le Touquet while the rest of the Brigade was in trenches at nearby Ploegsteert Wood. On 11th November they rejoined the brigade and on 12th November moved into gtrenches at St Yves where they remained until relieved on 19th November. John Reeve was killed while here on 16th November and was most likely a victim of shell fire. |
